Diving Headfirst into wedding planning

I really underestimated the value of being able to rely on someone else to take care of certain details of my wedding. When we met with the caterers last week and they told me that they would take care of all of the rentals we would need for everything, I practically hugged them.

I like to plan things as much as the next girl, but I'm finally realizing that the more I can delegate during this process, the happier I'm going to be. I finally told Indie Rocker that I am pretty much expecting him and his auntie to plan the rehearsal dinner. I just want to give him a few names for the invites and be told where to show up. That would make me happy.

Other than that, things are really going much more smoothly than I expected. I like that I have a checklist, because God knows how much I adore to-do lists and checking things off of them. I don't particularly like theknot.com, and I certainly haven't been taking advantage of much outside of the checklist and the budgeter, but it is making me think of stuff I'd otherwise have blown off or just never known about.

I don't think I'm a bridezilla, but I could stand to talk about something else for a change. I'll get on that as soon as I can!
