I knew this would happen eventually...

I knew that I was going to run into a snag with wedding planning. It was bound to happen, and things were simply going too well and too smoothly for it to last.

My caterers are driving me nuts. I read a really well-written blog post a few months back about when to look at other options, and I'm about there.

One of the most astute observations is that "You’re paying these people to be more organized than you are. They’re adding stress where you need it removed." Ergo, if my caterer cannot remember that I already told him about the tables and chairs that the venue can already provide and that he doesn't need to rent and that I don't need to pay for, I need to take a deep breath and see if I can eliminate this aggro.

When we first started this little adventure, I was under the impression that these guys were the exclusive caterers for our venue, and now that I know that isn't the case, I think it's time to explore my options, and then play hardball. I have no intention of signing a contract that isn't 100% correct, and I also have no intention of writing a four-figure check for something I don't feel 100% good about.

Whew! Just had to get that off my chest. I'm a little surprised it's taken me this long to complain about wedding planning. Clearly, I lead a charmed existence sometimes.
