So sleepy...

I am so ridiculously tired today. What started out as a planned evening of taking it easy, watching a movie with Speedy, and going to bed early turned into a total drink-up and a trip to the ER because Indie Rocker managed to get tumbled surfing and his face met the business end of one of his fins. So now he has a bunch of surgical superglue holding the gash in his left cheek together and a sore arm from the tetanus shot.

And I got to bed shortly after 1:30am.

On the bright side, I did have a totally fun and memorable night. Even if I don't remember calling Scienziata.

Bad Day

It's not even my bad day, really. It's Speedy's, and all of her friends and roommates in Tahoe. She found out last night that her roommate had been killed in an avalanche on Mt. Baker yesterday. So please send thoughts and prayers for him and his family as they get through an unbelievably tough time. Especially his brother, who dug the body out.

Awesome. So awesome.

One of my doctors said the most fantastic thing to me today. For the record, it's the doc who kind of reminds me of Danny Bonaduce, but that's neither here nor there. He was editing a letter he'd dictated and was appending an egregiously long title underneath his name. I mentioned something to that effect.

His response?

"I have a big ego!"

Who needs a Quote of the Day when I have that? Awesome.

101 update!

34. Buy a bathing suit from somewhere besides Old Navy completed 4/7/06. I bought two Aaron Chang suits at the Longboard Grotto in Encinitas. They are so awesome. One of the bottoms doesn't fit right, but the top matches both of my boardshorts and the suits were so cheap that I bought both anyway.

More to come on the San Diego trip, but I'm still recovering and playing catchup. Being injured blows, for the record. I am totally limping around everywhere today. Argh!
